Long Ago is a song for dreamers who love to lose themselves in pleasant melancholy. It is a song about intimacy in the past tense and tells the story of two lovers who are separated in space and time.

Johnny & Lua Lua wrote ‘Long Ago’ together with producer Benjamin Rheinlander. The three songwriters had only just met at a writerscamp the day before when they sat down to write on a sunny afternoon. Johnny’s rugged voice and Lua Lua’s smooth vocals complement each other perfectly. Their voices are gently carried by the guitar and synth, coming together in harmony, creating a dreamy atmosphere.

The music video that accompanies the song was shot in Mexico City and features a young couple riding their skateboards through the city. The video was made by David Hilhorst, a Dutch filmmaker living in Mexico.
